I purchased this to put in a small bedside lamp in my small-medium size room and it has no trouble lighting up every corner. Not too bright but I wish it could have dimming functionality. The important thing is that it does not hinder my ability to fall asleep. A couple of times I had to get up in the middle of the night and turned on this lamp to see, and after getting back into bed I was asleep in just a few minutes. Using other lights in the past, it was almost guaranteed I'd be lying in bed for up to an hour just trying to will myself back to sleep. I also bought the Twilight bulb but it is too red for my taste, so in my opinion, this Sweet Dreams bulb is the perfect bedroom lamp.

As a person who is sensitive to the harsh light of traditional light bulbs, this one is so much more comfortable especiallyat night. It is a soothing light, that is high quality, has a long life and doesn't flicker. This is my second purchase. It would be great if there was also an option for a lower watt bulb for late at night, at present I have one in my beside lamp with a cloth over the top, to dim the light. It also appears to be very safe as I can leave it covered for many hours with no burning smell as would happen with regular bulbs.
