I was a bit sceptical to use red light for reading but it turned out it's a great solution. This little light is small and very portable. It has two levels of brightness and clips easily on my book.

My wife has never been able to tolerate me reading in bed after she turns her light out - until now. Not only is this light very restful on my eyes, it's also no trouble to said wife. She's even been recommending it to friends.

I do though have to put up with jokes about my side of the bed being a red light district!

There are myriad similar devices for sale cheaply on eBay but this one feels solidly well made.

finally a light for nighttime use that doesn't make me cringe, but instead allows me to decompress. perfect for reading, but I find myself using it for everything else too. great quality, and amazing customer service. i had a question/issue and they were extremely responsive and helped to make it right. I use this guy at home and traveling! It only gets 4 stars because it’s designed poorly with how to turn it on and off. Everytime I adjust the light, I turn it off.

Great for reading and it’s strong enough to light up my bedroom a little at night if I need to get up and move around without knocking into anything. Also good for camping. Great value

Love this light, especially great when the family are camping and we’re all sleeping in the same tent. If I want to stay up later to read I no longer have to switch on a torch.
